About the Artwork:

“The Sphinx of the Eternal Wandering. A wandering Spirit, she is the guardian and protector of infinity, eternity and peacefully everlasting time. Mummified and dressed in the precious shroud of immortality, she perpetually weaves time in a golden thread, sailing somewhere where flowers never wilt, where the night stays eternal and never fades … where peace and harmony reign forever.” – Orphné Achéron

(Artist Bio)

Orphné Achéron is an French illustrator inspired by Mythology, Antiquity and Mediaval era. She studied history of art and fashion design in Paris. After her studies and some professional experiences within Fashion Houses, her passion for imagery, imagination and storytelling was stronger and guided her to develop her own graphic style and her own myths and tales through illustration practice. Fascinated from a very young age by Antiquity, divinities and the origin of civilizations, her work is totally imbued with it. The vestiges from the Ancient world and all its mysteries and symbols, a legacy left by Ancestors, are her inexhaustible and authentic source of inspiration. Currently, her work is exhibited between Paris and the USA.
