With a primary interest in storytelling, the work of Nicola Gower Wallis is an exploration of the way we relate to our surrounding environment through narrative and myth.
Originally from Hobart, Nicola moved to Brisabane at a young age before returning later to undertake a Bachelor’s degree of Fine Arts at the University of Tasmania. This re-acquaintance with an environment once so familiar has been a particular focus in recognising the way we connect to certain landscapes and the glorification we allocate to the places we consider our own.
