About the Artwork:
“Protozoans are microscopic, single celled animals. I came across a bunch of really beautiful old illustrations of Protozoa which were the inspiration for this piece. I loved that they seemed like little creatures with personality and awareness, and wanted to play with that. I also just really loved the strange forms, feeling like they looked like weird glass objects, or some kind of elaborate and strange test tubes with odd lifeforms generating within.” – Catriona Secker
