About the Artwork:
“It’s a common term in North America to use sayings such as ‘flying the nest’ referring to kids growing up and venturing out into the world. This image portrays an older woman or a mother who has lived the majority of life still holding up her nest/home that she’s built for her children and grandchildren. The branches are old and worn but she peacefully remains.” – Jessica Taylor
About the Artist:
(Artist Bio)
I started drawing from a very young age, I always found it interesting but I never pursued it as a career option. Instead, I found another love, architecture. So, I went on to achieve a degree in architecture in hopes of becoming an architect. I felt like as time went on while studying my bachelors, I was neglecting a part of me that I couldn’t ignore anymore. I graduated and from that point on I decided to dedicate my time to developing my illustration and fine art skills. It’s been quite the journey but I’ve progressed significantly since then. I now enjoy life as a freelance illustrator and concept artist taking on many exciting projects.
