(Artist Bio)
Judit-Mari Forthun is an illustrator who currently lives in Bergen, Norway. Here between the mountains and fjords she works from her home studio on personal projects and commissions.
Judit works in a range of different techniques, from digital drawing to pyrography, but has a long lasting love for watercolors and color pencils.
She highly values traditional and intricate methods you find in the historical illustrators of folk stories and fairy tales. And takes inspiration from the mystical and magical memories of books she read and the nature around her in the Norwegian hamlet where she grew up.
Her illustrations often tells a story of her interpretation of the world around her, played out in landscapes and by characters of her fictional world.
