“I don’t pretend to have built a narrative behind this figure, he doesn’t need one right now. Some animal man, bound in a form. I jotted a quick ink sketch of this image down a number of years ago and never really shook the idea, there’s something about mixing organic forms with rigid shapes that I’m drawn to, and introducing a figure adds something. I’m still wondering who he is and what the image is about, maybe someone else can figure it out for me.” – Phil Moss

I live and work in Nottingham, England. I’ve been a working Illustrator and Concept Artist for a number of years for in house teams in the games and publishing industry. My personal work gives me a space to create purely for myself without any company logo attached and for the joy of doing it. I think we can all be artists as well as the title our day job gives us.. if we make things, and we think they’re art, then we’re artists I’d hope.
