About the Artwork:
“Hydrangeas symbolize interconnectedness and wholeness. Tulips are a declaration of love. Auricula bears its name from Medieval Latin, which means pertaining to the ear (and is also called a bear’s ear). These flowers are brought together to symbolize the overhearing of a confession of love.
This painting originally was born from my desire to draw goliath beetles. But as I researched flowers and sketched out this piece, a story came to mind: A love story at the blush of dawn.” – Niky Motekallem
