About the Artwork:

“Being haunted by endless recurring thoughts has become almost natural for me. Although it is very unpleasant and frequently gives me discomfort, I like this feature of my brain quite a lot. Constant overthinking has trained it in a way that allows me to come up with solutions easily. With “Wicked Game” I wanted to try to depict this feeling of repetitive thoughts. I had already sketched out the basic idea for it for some time, but it was a trip to the eerily quiet waterways of the Spreewald – where my mind was able to rest for a while – that inspired me to create this scene.” – Kristin Siegel-Leicht

(Artist Bio)

Kristin Siegel-Leicht is a freelance illustrator and graphic designer from Germany. She lives in a small town in the county of Vogtland. Her work is mainly affected by her preference for all kinds of strangenesses and curiosities. She loves to be subtle or hiding something in her work that reveals itself at the second sight. She works in mixed media, mainly gouache and pencil, often combined with digital colouring. Besides painting, Kristin likes to go for walks in nature and create cute GIF animations.
