About the Artwork:

“When approached by the prospect of uncertainty or confronted by the enormity of the unknown, my tendency is to lean into fear and negativity bias. Every less-than-desirable outcome plays in my head on a never-ending loop, constant reminders of why it would be so much easier and safer if I just stayed put. And normally I would, but if this past year of my life has been any indication, when I will myself into moving forward despite every fearful thought disguised as pragmatism, beautiful things can occur.

This piece embodies a spirit of childlike adventure bordering on foolhardiness. It reflects my desire to approach the unknown with more eagerness and less fear. To embrace endless possibilities, no matter how unprepared I may be (or feel I am).” – Jerome Tiunayan
