About the Artwork:

“I need solitude. I need space. I need air. I need the empty fields round me; and my legs pounding along roads; and sleep… animal existence.” – Virginia Woolf

“The halo in this work represents the peacefulness I feel in times of solitude in nature. In these moments, I feel awe and a deep connection with the world that surrounds me.” – Rachael Pease
