About the Artist:
(Artist Bio)
Jaz Harold is a Brooklyn based sculptor and oil painter, working in mixed medium, with a focus on life casting with silicones, and plush fabrics. Her work embodies themes of catharsis and growth on one hand, and blissful dissociation on the other, all while consciously appealing to child-like naïveté. Jaz’s works are soft and inviting, rich with plush fabrics, blooming flowers, and pastel tones. They are at once feminine, sensual, and innocent. In response to a society that entwines sexuality with shame and guilt, Jaz creates gentle, approachable, and often humorous reflections on sex, love, and emotional growth.
