Yuriko Shirou; Self-taught Mexican illustrator, with particular interest in traditional mixed media. Her professional work has ventured into various styles such as Manga drawing, American Comics and Figurative Art. She regularly addresses melancholic and sinister themes, a taste that comes from classic stories and horror films.
With a ten-year track record as a recurring illustrator for international trading card sets, she has an involvement in over 45 card sets. She as well as various international publishing projects in artbooks, book covers and magazines.
Her work has also been presented in various international art galleries, with more than 40 group exhibitions and 5 solo exhibitions in the United States, Mexico, Spain and Germany. Among which stand out “The Dark Room”, 2019; Haven Gallery, New York and “Creators of Legends / Homage to Hans Ruedi Giger”; Superficie Arte, Mexico – Switzerland / 2016-2018.
