About the Artwork:

During her childhood, the girl felt the anxiety all around and yet from nowhere at all. She was only 10, but she felt the weight of the world. She knew deep down no one would ever like her, so much so she thought she would choke on her own throat. Her only relief was when the television turned on and she could escape into happier worlds. Places where girls had great power and were once princesses from different planets. They could transform into someone no one in their world could recognize. She allowed herself to live in that world. Wouldn’t it be amazing to have the power to not be seen? – Gina Altadonna
