About the Artwork:

When playing video games like space invaders, throwing bombs and destroying entire planets is just part of the game with no consequences. This reminds me of what we are doing now with nature: we destroy so much, yet we barely feel like we are doing it. – Sailev

About the Artist:

(Artist Bio)

Enthralled by the beauty of nature, I have spent seven years in Asia where I have been equally confronted with the damages of human activities to the ecosystems. From this duality, I draw a creative force that imbues my paintings with a vision of the natural world that is poetic and alarming at the same time.

On the canvas, my animals are in the grip of torment, haste, ecstasy and dreams. They are icons of the climate crisis. The aesthetic and visions that I developed blur the boundaries between reality and fiction. They are an invitation to a contemplative reflection on nature as I combine symbolism with a precise execution.

I currently live in Normandy, France. My works have been exhibited in Europe, Asia and North America.
