“For Buried Connections I decided to dig up some things from my artistic past. The image is based on an old Inktober drawing and the medium, watercolor, is what I cut my teeth on painting as a youth (and then promptly ignored for most of my adult life). I have recently dusted off, and added to, my watercolor palette and am seeing how and where I can push the paint.
And of course, what speaks to a buried connection more than a skeleton in a space suit waving at you thanks to their miraculously still intact connective tissue? I can think of nothing else.” – Jesse Riggle

I am a painter and illustrator and tend to describe my work as lumpy.
I’ve been making pictures professionally for more than 15 years and I have created work for books, games, animations, and galleries.
When I am not making art I am probably baking. Or eating whatever I baked last.
