About the Artwork:
“INBETWEEN THE COSMOS is part of a new series I’m pursuing in what at the moment I call my ‘Western Lovecraft’ universe -an exploration of both the Western and Lovecraftian genres that I am fond of. For this piece I imagined a woman that was stuck between two planes of reality, unmoored from conventional time and space. Is she dreaming? Is she dead? Her own body may not be able to tell the difference now.” – Andrew Sides

Andrew Sides is a freelance illustrator based out of Orlando, FL. He has a long history of interest in dark fantasy, westerns, and horror which find their way into his personal work. With a background in comics, he has brought the storytelling sensibilities he acquired there into his illustration work, which he executes using primarily acrylic, with gouache, watercolor, and colored pencil lending a hand as need be. His influences include illustrators of the early 20th century like Leyendecker or Mead Schaeffer as well as more contemporary artists like Bernie Fuchs, Thomas Blackshear, and Drew Struzan.
