About the Artwork:
“I use music as inspiration to my drawings, both intentionally and unintentionally. Music is what drives me, inspires me, and keeps me going. This piece is about that – how music, atmosphere and sound can be used as fuel – how it keeps you alive, curious and inspired, and how it also can comfort you. Music, amongst other art forms, is always there for you.
You can find rhythm, space, emotions and harmony in both music and visual art, and maybe that´s why they go so well side by side.” – Natalie Foss

“Foss creates her own personal iconography on the centre line of two- and three-dimensional space. Her saints appear in the shadow area of pastel shades, golden colour diffracting into lemon yellow. Body postures contribute to the intensity and eternity of looks – in the Church of Pop Art.” – New Nordic Fashion Illustration
“Created with only colour pencils and coloured paper, the drawings are both intensely simple and full of melancholic detail.” – Beautiful Bizarre Magazine
