Debbies Grahl was born in Porto Alegre, Brazil, in 1985. She is an accomplished award winner visual artist with a background in graffiti and 2D animation. In her works, she often depicts a whimsical, nostalgic and magical world populated by cute, dreamy and empowered women along with other creatures.
Debbies works predominantly in the medium of acrylic painting and watercolours, but includes mural art on her large scale artworks. Her major influences come from graffiti, Japanese pop culture, cartoon animation, vintage toys, urban street fashion and lowbrow art.
She graduated as a 2D animator in 2006 and worked the following next 5 years in the industry. Her artwork was recently showcased at MF Gallery (New York, US), Gallery Nucleus (Portland, US) and Stranger Factory (Albuquerque, US).
Debbies currently lives in Sydney Australia.
