“It’s ok to feel overwhelmed. This is the beginning of my series of animals and woman expressing emotions. Being overwhelmed is normal. Using blues and greens to give a sense of drowning in her emotions. Layering Sharks emerging from a second layer on the canvas revealing the terror that being Overwhelmed can bring.” – Matt Byle

Matt Byle is a Detroit based artist. His inspiration stems from film, beauty, and nature, which is blended together in an expressive and aesthetically pleasing way. His style embodies a juxtaposition between the carefully planned and creative chance. He marries meticulously drafted figures with expressive drips and runs of paint in a wabi-sabi approach.
