About the Artwork:

“When creating this artwork I was thinking about the connection between humans and nature. It’s a very old relationship that some of us have lost. Life moves fast, we live in big cites built from concrete, forgetting how important it is for us to reconnect with nature. We’re trying to build our own little jungles in our flats and houses, surrounding ourselves with house plants, subconsciously knowing we just need that.” – Justyna S. Lewandowska

About the Artist:

(Artist Bio)

My name is Justyna S. Lewandowska and I’m a self taught, Polish artist based in Nottingham, UK. My journey with art started when I was a small child and it still continues.

Art for me is not only a passion that I do in my spare time, but something very personal that helps me to clear up my head, meditate, take a look at things around me from a different perspective.
I’m looking for inspirations in my day to day life, nature, past and present and personal life experiences. I’m working in traditional mediums like graphite pencils and oils, still trying to learn new techniques that could help me to improve my skills and style.

My every drawing has a little story behind it, but I always hope that my viewers will find something very personal in it. And I think it motivates me the most.
