Berwyn found himself utterly lost, the strange humming in his ears pressing him further into the woods, a soft and beautiful melody of Joy. The golden fruits he picked along the way opening his mind wider with every bite. He could feel Life around him communicate in ways he had never noticed before. The trees sending electrical signals through their roots, the flowers breathing delicate in the twilight, colors and shapes shifting the world into a painting before him. Bird calls warbled and warped until they sang to him “Beware! Beware! The Birchwood Gate is near!”
