Oliwia Bober is a London-based Polish artist who works primarily with acrylics. Her works explore femininity through lived experience and her position as an immigrant in post-Brexit Britain.
Her paintings — whether a single scene, or a tapestry of vignettes meticulously pieced together — are intensely personal. Decoration, intricacy and vibrant colours simultaneously draw the viewer in and overwhelm them, allowing her to hide what are sometimes painful and raw experiences in plain sight.
