About the Artwork:
“My ‘Sphinx’ series is made up of several works representing the divine or cosmic spirit mummified in the shroud of Eternity. These enigmatic creatures are ambivalence symbols of invincibility and sovereignty, they are both ominous and protective creatures. They also embody the questions and the enigma of Existence, they are the link between earthly body and celestial body. ‘Stellar Sphinx’ or ‘Sphinx of Sun’ completes this series. Influenced by Ancient Egypt, She is a celestial being bringing light into darkness… Lux in Tenebris.” – Orphné Achéron
