About the Artwork:

This allegorical portrait is aimed at dealing with the struggles of finding one’s identity and personal growth while reconciling with our past. The path toward re-discovering one’s identity, although possible with enough introspection, can be confusing and painful. The figure is partially cast in the shadows of her past, shown as thick bramble undergrowth obscuring the radiating light that lies beneath. – Danny Bitton
