‘Reflection’ by Amy Guidry

Artist: Amy Guidry
Title: ‘Reflection’
Medium: Acrylic on canvas
Dimensions: 11″ x 14″
Framing: Unframed
Year of Creation: 2024

About the Artwork:

‘Reflection’ features two horses, faces hidden, in keeping with many of my paintings dealing with anonymity vs connection. Do their hidden faces make them any less personable or meaningful? And how does this apply on a global scale? Meanwhile their reflections are erased by the water’s ripples. The large human eye is a reflection of us and a way to see ourselves in animals as well as seeing the world from their point of view.
