‘Passage‘ by Ryan Pola
Artist: Ryan Pola
Medium: Graphite on Arches watercolour paper
Dimensions: 10.25″ x 10.25″
Year of Creation: 2022
About the Artwork:
In his works he often explores themes of identity, nature, and mythology. Often the flora in the artworks is engulfing and en masse around the figures. Whether this process is parasitic or beneficial to the figure is inconsequential, as an artist Pola is trying to explore and hone in on something much bigger. Mythology works as a basis to explore time and space against the hubris of identity.
