About the Artwork:

“Riverview is a piece depicting the personification of New York City, especially the cityscape from across the Hudson River. During the pandemic, New York City has become a hub of residents filled with unreleased grudge, racial hate crimes, and persisting depression. I decided to move out of the city, across the Hudson River to a more peaceful neighborhood with all-time access to the river view of Manhattan. This art piece is an interpretation of how this city has become more beautiful and coming back to life after recovery from year 2020.” – Authan Chen
