About the Artwork:
There are legends suggesting we are only half of our true selves, forever seeking our missing halves to feel complete. ‘The Other Half’ drew inspiration from this cosmic quest, illustrating that although our other halves might be physically distant, in our separateness, we are still intricately woven into the cosmic fabric of existence together.

Po Yan Leung is an Asian American artist in Los Angeles who received a Bachelor of Art in Illustration from ArtCenter College of Design. Her current practice is heavily inspired by alchemy and lullabies and concentrates on two-color pen and ink drawings with occasional gilding embellishments. She strives to create whimsical storytelling with magical adventures and fantastic creatures on paper that speak to the child in all of us.
