About the Artwork:

“I like to think of the whimsy characters that I paint, as spirits from other realms, in search of an artist that would represent them in this realm.

Usually, while I paint them, I get a feeling about their character and personality. In this case, the prevalent feeling was of a soothing and autumnal presence, like the slow withering of the leaves, and a warm beverage by the fireside.” – Alejandra Caballero
