About the Artwork:

“The inspiration for this piece partially came about from the feeling of inner peace and stillness I get when entering a forest or exploring nature.

In this painting, a young oracle wanders alone into the forest to practice her newfound abilities to harness the power of nature. As the foliage begins to envelope her forming a protective cocoon, she is reminded that this magic only appears to those who are still and listen closely.

The beauty of the nature preserves near where I live is impossible to ignore and greatly inspired legendary artists like the Wyeths and Howard Pyle. In a way, looking at the lush landscapes around me is a way to connect with these great painters as much of what they saw remains the same to this day.” – Daniel Bitton
