Maj Askew is an exhibiting artist working primarily in oils since 2010. Composing the human figure in symbolic space, her work frequently deals with themes of emotional experience, identity, and the self. Her visual language is informed by classical as well as contemporary archetypes, often incorporating elements of literary, mythological, and modern digital symbology.
