About the Artwork:

“Pink Moon is a piece about the discovery of self and the perception of the inner and outer world. A dreamlike scenario in pink tones that can mean different things to the ones observing. It’s a journey into my unconscious.” – Irene Martino

About the Artist:

(Artist Bio)

I was born in Italy, surrounded by art and artists. My house was basically an atelier, full of paint, colours and canvases. Growing up, I tried many forms of art but I avoided drawing for all my teenage years. Later on, while studying Drama and Foreign Literatures, I found myself scribbling so much that I felt the urge to learn how to draw. I immediately fell in love, the form of art that I avoided for so long was my soulmate. I love to create dreamlike and surreal atmospheres, to tell a story, one that can be different for everyone observing, because what makes life so interesting to me is the subjectivity of the human experience.
