About the Artwork:

“This work is part of a series of abstract portraits created from collages mixed with paint and other mediums. I wanted to create something in a raw style inspired by cubism. I cut and tore pieces of magazines and posters found on the street, which i assembled on a canvas while playing with their textures and typographic elements. I added acrylic paint, spray paint, pencils, oil sticks to create contrasts, material effects, and superpositions.” – Niark1

About the Artist:

(Artist Bio)

French Parisian artist and illustrator now living in Montpellier in the south of France, Sébastien Féraut – aka Niark(1), is a skilled graphic composer who juggles between mediums, transitioning from digital to traditional tools such as painting, drawing, and collage to experiment and develop his pictorial universe.

His imagination is populated with hybrid characters, with multiple eyes sometimes decomposed in the manner of a modern cubist, his compositions oscillating between surrealism and abstraction or even raw art.

Working on his computer as well as on traditional mediums for the realization of visuals for various projects and other prestigious collaborations, his plastic work is characterized by a free, spontaneous, and colorful creative process, combining various techniques.
