About the Artist:

(Artist Bio)

I was adopted at a week old and grew up in the Los Angeles area. I am a self-taught artist whose earliest works were at the age of 3, drawing in my Grandmothers carpet. I would study and enjoy insect, animal, and nature books as a child. I find inspiration in almost everything found in nature, the music I listen to and the things I’ve experienced. The mediums that I prefer to use vary between ballpoint pens, ink, graphite, oil paint, spray paint and digital.

In my youth I was heavily preoccupied with skateboarding and graffiti art. I did graphic design and marketing as a profession for 15 years. Around 2016 I started taking my art more seriously. I invested in a professional printer, shipping supplies and I began creating art full time. I have so many more ideas to share with you and the world.

(Artist Statement)

My artwork seeks to explore an alter universe of living dreams, that lead you to a realm foreign to our reality. Where obscured laws of nature play and anything is possible. This is where my spontaneous visuals of new morphed creatures’ dwell and interact with your inner child’s imagination.

My process is unique in translating the extra fine details found in nature, into the hyper detailed cross-stipple line style I execute. I work traditionally with graphite, ink and oil paints; on paper, Claybord or wood panel. My subject matter touches on the relationship between all living things, while depicting the frailty of life and our impending mortality. A combination of nature and pop surrealism, with moody dark religious undertones and a dash of urban graffiti vibes.

I encourage all to take a deeper look at the details found within and let your inner child, Imagine out loud.
