About the Artwork:
“Trow Quarry is an area located in South Shields where my wife and I first lived when we moved here to the UK. It was the beginning of our adventures here and will always have a place in my heart. The creature you see is representative of us as a combined traveling unit. We have breached this countries shores with our eyes searching in all directions for new things to explore and long legs to take us everywhere.” – Tom Strom
About the Artist:
(Artist Bio)
I’m an artist living and working in Edinburgh, Scotland. I’m self taught and split my time between tattooing and painting in oils, acrylics, and watercolors. I can never tell which medium suits me best but I love working with all of them. My focus is mainly illustrative with an underlying narrative that is usually pretty personal and dark in nature. My goal is to take these darker themes and make them more visually digestible with brighter color palettes and flowing compositions. I spend my time at home mostly creating with my wife Jackee who is an amazing artist as well. Together we work relentlessly to improve and become better artists.
