About the Artwork:
“I often spend time looking at pictures in old zoology textbooks. Something about an illustration might catch my eye, a shape, a pattern or form which ends up transforming and taking on a life of its own as I sketch it. That was the case with these two drawings, which as it turns out were inspired by illustrations of the reproductive systems of the male and female cockroach.” – Catriona Secker
