About the Artwork:

“This piece started out by being inspired by insects and how they are so tiny compared to us humans while we are so tiny compared to Earth, the solar system, and the universe. I feel connected to cicadas and their symbolism of rebirth. The wasps remind me of my hometown and represent taking control to create a personal change – to become the Queen of my own mind.” – Jamie Wells
