About the Artist:
(Artist Bio)
My name is Jesús Inglés Canalejo, born in 1988, Cartagena (Murcia, Spain) I am a self-taught artist, and I have been teaching drawing and painting since I was 24 years old.
Today I dedicate my work and all my time as an artist, with a single purpose, to unite and reconnect the Human Being with nature. Be aware that we are made of the dust of the Earth and that the only way as a species is to maintain balance throughout the Biosphere in order to bequeath a true future to future generations.
Before becoming what I am, I must admit that there was a time when I did not find the meaning of life, why we are here or what for, in which my inspiration when painting was practically nil, there were no ideas, I was empty and really lost, coming to think that I lacked that gift to create… until one fine day I remembered a man who raised the spirit and consciences of people, that man is called Félix Rodríguez de la Fuente. From that day on I began to listen to his radio programs while I was painting and I felt how that seed of protection for nature sprouted in me, when suddenly ideas began to emerge and more ideas crowded inside me.
Félix taught me that the human being as the dominant species has the duty and obligation to fulfill a role in nature, the sacred responsibility to protect our Earth that, like a mother dedicated to her children, gives us everything in exchange for nothing. Since then I have found meaning in my life, my role as an individual in this society is to convey in the best way I know, through my work, that we only have one path, that of reconnecting the human being with “Mother Earth” as It was in primitive times.
In some way I want the viewer and my work to connect, merge, make them feel part of and complicit in the fact that the most important path of human beings today is to protect our home. If we continue destroying the planet that supports us, that nourishes us and that gives us life, on those foundations that nature has created for billions of years, we will go towards our own extinction.
