About the Artwork:
“Taking the miniature theme of MicroVisions to heart, this image’s playful sense of scale hints at the potential for explosive abundance contained in one small seed. My partner and I just started our sprouts for this year’s vegetable garden, so the initial concept for this drawing is rooted in the hope for a good harvest and a bountiful return on the investment of time and effort needed to nurture an idea from concept to completion. Created using colored pencils on translucent vellum, I drew on both sides of the surface in order to create blended colors while preserving the satisfyingly-grainy textures of the pencil strokes.” – Brian Britigan
