About the Artwork:
“She wants to be beautiful like a beauty queen. She wants to be accepted. In this painting, I am inspired by how it feels to be judged by your physical appearance and how beauty is skin deep and will fade or “die” over time. The hands represent jealousy, self-doubt, and insecurities which eventually bring her down.” – Hanna Jaeun
