About the Artwork:

“I used graphite powder and ink on Claybord and etched out the highlights. I wanted each piece to have the vibe that you stumbled upon this old decaying skull laying in a field. I would describe the style as Dark aesthetic grundge atmospheric.

This was a prompt list I created for everyone to join in on last October 2022. It’s a new tradition of drawing skulls for the month of October I began in 2021, where I drew up to 25 different animal skulls. This list consisted of only 8 skulls. My intent for the list was to bring together a community that appreciate these animal’s anatomy and because skulls are just cool.” – Alex Dakos

About the Artist:

(Artist Bio)

I’m a Los Angeles based artist and a native of California. My interest in art was sparked at an early age and I started taking art & painting lessons to unleash my creativity. My early work was recognized and led to several art honors in school. I continued to study art history in college, where I earned an Associate of Arts degree. But most of what I’ve learned is self-taught through practice.
