“My work tends to explore post apocalyptic themes, but generally from a place of rebirth rather than the macabre. In exploring and fleshing out this vision, a theme that comes up often is the reuse of contemporary waste and reframing it in this future where everyday refuse is reframed or even cherished, and sometimes takes a life of its own. A recurring construct has been what I call the citizens– gods, idols, or creations that have come to life from the ruins.” – Michael Camarra

Born in 1983, Michael is a New York area-based visual artist exploring our relation to nature through narrative paintings. He has a BFA in Communications Design from Pratt Institute.
