About the Artwork:
“This painting is based off of the character I made that I use as a logo and profile picture on most sites. Originally it was meant to be a ghost, but for this piece I imagined a spirit meant to inspire hope and guide me. The various shapes and symbols around them are inspired by the concept of Plato’s shapes and geometrical patterns used in religious imagery, like Metatron’s cube. The biblical symbol of a rainbow is a reminder to trust in God’s mercy and also makes me think of my friends and idols who identify as queer who have gone through difficult times but always find a way to celebrate and honor life.” – Angela Ramones
