About the Artwork:

“The miniature theme of the annual MicroVisions show always brings to mind the possibilities of playing with scale within an image, in this case depicting something ordinarily small as monumental. The word “miniatures” also conjures up memories of my weekly ritual of playing D&D with friends and the incredible stories that take place at 28mm scale. This resulting image features the combination of the familiar geometric shapes of RPG dice with my own real-life experiences of adventure and exploration while canoeing through the Boundary Waters of the Canadian border, making camp on a lonesome island as evening falls.” – Brian Britigan
