About the Artwork:

Mnemosyne, in Greek mythology, was the Titan Goddess of memory and mother of the nine Muses. She also ruled the river Mnemosyne, a counterpart of the river Lethe in Hades, the Realm of the Dead, where dead souls could stop transmigration by drinking from it instead of drinking from Lethe, where they would stop remembering their past lives. – Kirsten Schaap
