About the Artwork:

“The connecting organisms in this piece are a re-imagining of an illustration showing the internal structure of “tethys fimbria”, a nudibranch, or sea slug. I think I could try for years and not do it justice. I’ve been thinking a lot lately about all the hidden processes and connections in nature which are playing out right within and around us, but are outside of our everyday awareness. It’s really a source of wonder to me. The art I am making at the moment is an attempt to convey that feeling. And also, there’s just something about these sorts of forms that I find completely fascinating.” – Catriona Secker
