About the Artwork:
“Clarence has always had trouble navigating the waters after the sun goes down. At night, he finds that the dark seas make him uneasy. One night, he saw a beautiful light on the piers that overlooked the water he called home. He swam closer and closer to the shining object, and before he had time to realise it he was flying out of the water and into the cool night air. He moved slowly around the beautiful light, and felt warmth in the darkness.” – Juliet Schreckinger
