About the Artwork:

“Sol (or Sunna) in Norse and Old German mythology is the Goddess of the Sun.

Sol, like her brother Máni (God of the Moon), was once a mortal and now forced to steer the sun orb chariot, eternally outrunning the wolf that chases her.

The wolf represents darker seasons and solar eclipses and it is during those times he is gaining on her in speed.

This is my interpretation of the Sun Tarot Card and part of my Major Arcana Tarot Series.” – Kirsten Schaap
