About the Artwork:

“The world of the Technomancers/Technomages Series is something I’ve been working on for a few years. Most of my illustration work has to do with Illustrative mapping, sports or politics so in my private work I try to explore some notions that are a little more abstract and playful. The Technomancers and Technomages are exploration of beings that are “personifications of ideas” made manifest in gouache and pencil. As images, they are meant to feel ever changing but immutable, as are the ideas that they represent. My personal goal with these is to find a bridge between the work of the stillness and beauty of John James Audobon and Umberto Boccioni’s futurist work (both of whom were huge influences on the series).” – Andrew DeGraff
