“This piece consists of 3 different skulls all layered and composed on top of each other to make one full image. After experiencing a few losses in a short period of time I realized that all we are left with are fragments of those we cared about once they transition. This is my attempt to capture that feeling of loss as I try to hold onto those fragments of memories that will carry me forward.” – Steve Martinez
